We have been asked by numerous guests whether we have a photo scrapbook showing the "before and after" photos of the hotel, so we have now set up a Facebook account where you can see loads of photos of the building before we bought it, the collapse, the reconstruction and the finished product. The Facebook account is Hotel Palacio Blanco.

Whilst writing, we have just had a cancellation for hiring the whole hotel as a private house over Christmas and New Year. If you fancy having Christmas and New Year in the sun, then just e-mail me and I can give you costs etc.

Just a quick e-mail to let everyone know that there are some incredibly cheap flights on offer from most UK airports to Malaga in October and November. You can get return flights for less than £50 from London and Liverpool, £60 from Bristol and Newcastle and less than £70 from Manchester.

We're sure that other airports are similarly priced and therefore an affordable autumn break could be a welcome distraction. The weather forecasts are good too!

The Hotel Palacio Blanco is now offering the whole hotel during the winter months as a private house rental, including use of your own private kitchen and lounge-diner. The hotel offers 7 bedrooms (for 14 people), 3 relax areas with televisions and a games room. The hotel also comes with a daily maid service to clean and make your beds.

Everyone has their own luxurious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, sofa and private satellite receivers so guests can enjoy their own privacy. The rooftop swimming pool spa is heated throughout the winter and they will stock the honesty fridges with whatever drinks you prefer. This will be perfect for family get-togethers, friends or corporate events.

On a final note, Channel Fiver are re-showing the television programme "Build a New Life" which features Nick and Lesley's move out to Malaga and their restoration project which became the Hotel Palacio Blanco. The program airs on Channel FIVER (channel 176) at 9am and 3pm on the 5th October 2009.

Having seen the UK weather on the TV, we´re sorry to depress everyone but we have just received our own long-range weather forecast here in sunny Spain - the first rain is expected to arrive here towards the middle of December! Oh, sunny days!

The Spanish Met Office predictions are normally very accurate, so we feel that we are able to offer a summer and autumn special. If it rains whilst you are with us then we´ll give you a 50% discount on the room rate on those days that it rains, up to the end of November 2009.

This is open to everyone, even those who have already booked with us.
